This Privacy Policy explains how Rivalclimb("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you play our game and use related services. Rivalclimb is operated by Mizu Scripts, the data controller responsible for your personal data.

We use Epic Online Services (EOS), provided by Epic Games, Inc., to deliver core features such as login, leaderboards and multiplayer. Where EOS processes your data, Epic's own Privacy Policy also applies.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to run the game. Most of it is processed through Epic Online Services:

Account & authentication data: your Epic Account ID and display name, used to sign you in and identify your profile in-game.
Gameplay & statistics data: scores, progress, achievements and rankings that power leaderboards and stats.
Social & multiplayer data: friends lists, lobbies, sessions and peer-to-peer connection data used for matchmaking and playing with others.
Technical & diagnostic data: device and connection information, crash reports and error logs used to keep the game stable, secure and fair.

We do not ask for or store payment card details, and we do not knowingly collect more data than is necessary for these purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate you and provide access to the game.
To operate leaderboards, statistics and achievements.
To enable multiplayer, friends and matchmaking features.
To diagnose crashes, prevent cheating and improve stability.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process your data on the basis of: performance of a contract (providing the game you requested), our legitimate interests (security, anti-cheat and improving the game), and your consent where required.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the game, primarily Epic Games, Inc. through Epic Online Services. These providers process data on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Because services such as Epic Online Services operate globally, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Account and gameplay data is retained while your profile is active; diagnostic logs are kept for a limited period. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see your rights below).
